Hello there. I'm Kristin. Nice to meet you!
I've been drawing since I was three years old and was known as "The Artsy Kid" all the way though school. Growing up I was blessed to have parents who encouraged my artistic endeavours by taking me to art museums, enrolling me in summer art camps, and making sure I had every kind of art supply under the sun. When I told them I wanted to go to art school for college, their immediate answer was, "Wonderful! Which one?" instead of the dreaded, "Oh, no, where did we go wrong??"
I attended Ringling School of Art and Design where I earned my BFA in Illustration in 2007 as part of the final class to graduate from Ringling School (the name changed to Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008). Because of that, I'm honored to have that "star in the cage" at the bottom of my degree. Ringling is very near and dear to my heart because it's where my art really started to thrive.
Although I specialize in children's imagery, I can create just about anything a client could want or need from manuscript illustrations/covers and logos to stationery and even tattoos. I've also done extensive coloring work with Brown Cow Productions.
I pride myself in being able to tell a story with my work and make the viewer feel, especially through the use of body language, facial expression, and light. I love drawing people and the emotional connections between them.
One of the best compliments a client can give me is saying, "It's like you looked in my head and took a picture with a camera," when a project is finished. I'd love to do the same for you, too! If you think I'm the right fit to help you bring your idea to life, please don't hesitate to drop me a line. I can't wait to hear from you!
